Nancy Bratton Design was founded in 2004 and continues to produce high quality design and smart solutions for cultural institutions, publishers, non profit organizations, and businesses. We collaborate with talented writers, photographers, illustrators, printers, and digital design experts to meet your goals. And, we take pride in our work and in being easy to work with.

Nancy Bratton's creative career started with a scientific illustration internship at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History. She then worked for reputable design firms, corporations, and museums in the Washington area designing and art directing a variety of projects including; annual reports, invitations, books, print ad campaigns, posters, logos, brochures, and exhibition graphics. Her strong sense of typography and color along with her unique way of clearly communicating a message with words and images shows through her award-winning design. She holds a BFA in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and has lectured at The Corcoran College of Art and Design. To fullfill her itch to make things by hand she designs and builds furniture for fun.
